Identity verification (KYC) service: consent-based BVN, NIN, liveness and CAC checks for Nigerian businesses
How a consent-based KYC check works: consent, BVN or NIN with selfie, licensed provider match, minimal data kept

Know who you are dealing with, lawfully

Fake identities and impersonation cost Nigerian businesses money every day. A proper KYC process confirms that a person is who they say they are before you lend, hire, rent or onboard them.

We do not sell lookups or access to anyone’s data. We help your business set up identity checks the right way: the person gives consent, a licensed provider confirms their details, and you keep only what you need.

  • BVN and NIN verification with the customer’s consent, matched against the name, date of birth and photo they give you
  • Selfie and liveness checks to confirm the person is real and matches their ID photo
  • CAC business verification for suppliers, merchants and corporate customers
  • ID document checks for driver’s licence, voter’s card and international passport
  • Onboarding flows built into your website, app, WhatsApp or CRM
  • NDPA 2023 compliance: consent wording, privacy notice, retention rules and a processing register

Important information

Lifehampers is not a government agency and is not affiliated with NIBSS, NIMC or the Central Bank of Nigeria. Identity checks are carried out by licensed third-party verification providers, under your business’s own provider account, and only with the consent of the person being verified. We design and connect the process; we do not look up, sell or resell identity data. This page is general information, not legal advice, and we recommend your business also takes advice from a data protection lawyer.

01

Choose a licensed provider

We compare licensed verification providers on coverage, price per check and API quality, and help you open an account in your business name.

02

Build the onboarding flow

We connect the checks to your sign-up form, app, CRM or WhatsApp so customers can verify themselves in minutes.

03

Make it compliant

We write the consent and privacy wording, set retention rules and train your team, so every check is lawful and auditable.

Who it is for

Lenders and cooperatives, fintechs and POS agent networks, estates and property managers, recruiters and HR teams, schools, logistics companies and online sellers.

What we will not do

We never check anyone’s BVN or NIN without their consent, and we do not resell identity data. Requests to find another person’s BVN are declined.

Can you check a customer’s BVN for us?

Yes, with the customer’s consent, through a licensed verification provider connected to your business. The customer gives their BVN and agrees to the check, and the provider confirms whether their details match.

Is it legal to verify a BVN or NIN in Nigeria?

Yes, when it is done by or through a licensed provider, for a clear purpose, with the person’s consent and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Looking up someone’s BVN without consent is not.

Can you find someone’s BVN from their name or NIN?

No. That would expose private financial data without consent. We help you verify details that people give you themselves.

How much does a verification cost?

Providers charge per check, and the price depends on the type of check and your monthly volume. We give you a full quote, including setup, after we understand how many people you onboard.

How long does setup take?

A simple onboarding form with BVN and NIN checks can go live in one to two weeks after your provider account is approved. App and CRM integrations take longer.

Do we need to register with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission?

Businesses that process a lot of personal data may need to register with the NDPC and file annual compliance audits. We assess your obligations and can handle the registration with you.
